The founder of the Red Community Token (Red) programming language is Nenad Rakocevic, an open source project that began in 2011. Red is a high-level language that can write various codes and is very expressive. It tries to provide a simple and easy-to-use and good-performance method for software programming. In the blockchain era, Red has also tried to lower the threshold for smart contracts and DApp development through Red full-stack solutions, and even dreamed of becoming the mainstream programming language in the blockchain era. Red tokens will be used to support the development of open source projects and the construction of the community. The Red Foundation can use tokens to identify valuable contributions, but community members can also use them as a peer-to-peer exchange. Contributions that can earn token rewards include but are not limited to: editing code, reporting program vulnerabilities, community management, learning materials and archives, event organizations (such as gatherings), and conference reports and presentations.
RED is a practical token that can be used within the Red community as a confirmation of the services offered, a way to say “Thank you!” to build connections and strengthen organization.
Red Foundation can use tokens to identify valuable contributions, but community members can also tip and pay for services between them in a peer-to-peer way. The flow of tokens is not centrally controlled, but is self-organized around work, needs and skills, thereby providing impetus for community development.
Tokens indicate your support for Red open source projects because they allow you to weigh certain aspects, such as some new features submitted to polls, or indicate that you are interested in prioritizing specific tickets in your project repository.
