The communication cost is extremely low and the marginal cost is almost zero.

Everyone can be his own Musk

In the past, only people as energetic and capable as Musk could attempt flat management. Because management ability is a scarce resource, communication bandwidth is a scarce resource, energy and time are also a scarce resource.

Now, with AI Agent, everyone can become their own Musk.

You are no longer limited by management capabilities, communication bandwidth, or energy and time. Each person can directly manage multiple collaborators, just as Musk directly manages more than a hundred front-line engineers.

Small teams can do big things. In the past, it was difficult for small teams to do complex projects due to limited manpower. Now, with AI Agent, each team member can have multiple AI collaborators. The definition of organizational size is also changing. Previously, organization size was the number of employees. In the future, the size of an organization will be the number of AI Agents you have multiplied by the AI Agent's capabilities. One person plus ten AI Agents may equal a team of ten people in a traditional organization. One person plus one hundred AI Agents may equal a team of one hundred people in a traditional organization.

Return to the essence of management

What is the essence of management? Traditional management believes that the essence of management is coordination and control. But the AI Agent era tells us that the essence of management is collaboration and empowerment.

The definition of efficiency is also changing. The traditional view of efficiency is to do more things per unit of time. The concept of efficiency in the AI Agent era is to do more valuable things per unit time.

Musk's management style is striking because he still achieves extreme flatness under the constraints of the traditional organizational structure. But the AI Agent era gives us greater possibilities - we are no longer limited by human communication bandwidth and organizational structure constraints.

Every ordinary person can have his own AI Agent team, and like Musk, can achieve true flat management.
