TREE aims to be a profit engine for funding philanthropy. TREE is WhalerDAO's first project. TREE tokens adopt elastic supply, and its supply will vary according to their demand to maintain a roughly unchanged price. Every 12 hours, TREE will check its price against DAI. If it is above the peg (1 DAI), then an additional TREE token is minted. 10% of the minted TREE will be distributed to Uniswap's liquidity providers, 10% will be used for charitable funds, and 80% will be sold as DAI and sent to reserves. These weights can be adjusted through governance. TREE tokens are also governance tokens to determine which charities charitable institutions to which charitable funds are given.
