Space Chain is a Qtum-based satellite project established in 2017. The Space Chain aims to use blockchain technology to provide all Earth objects in the space chain network by installing 72 miniature satellites (called cubesats) around the world by 2022.

Project Introduction

SpaceChain is a community-based space platform that combines space and blockchain technology to build a satellite network based on open source blockchain that enables users to develop and run decentralized applications in space.
The SpaceChain operating system will be open to everyone anywhere in the world while maintaining security and immutability through reliable blockchain encryption. In doing so, SpaceChain’s vision is to remove barriers and allow global communities to access and collaborate in space.

Purpose of SPC token

Space Chain has built a decentralized platform for space and satellite-based application development, with the platform's tokens used as payment methods to access the built and used applications. Therefore, the role of SPC tokens in the SpaceChain ecosystem is similar to that of digital currencies.
