SnowGem is an mPoW (Masternode Proof of Work) privacy cryptocurrency based on the Bitcoin and Zcash protocols. Instead of reinventing the wheel, SnowGem forked from Zcash, the privacy coin of the first zk-SNARK, to ensure that privacy was a top priority when building the project. Adding Masternodes on the SnowGem network provides passive token generation and an additional layer of protection, making it nearly impossible to conduct a 51% attack or any other malicious attack on the network.
