Polkadex is an open source decentralized trading platform developed based on the Substrate blockchain framework. It uses order books to provide traders with the user experience of a centralized trading platform. The main selling point is its fluid exchange protocol (FSP).
Fluid switch protocol
Order matching protocols switched between AMM and orderbook ensure seamless liquidity flows between traders and market makers and provide guaranteed transactions. The unique programmatic AMM algorithm ensures full support for order books, thus avoiding price slippage and temporary losses, which are common problems in AMM-based indexes.
On-chain trading robot
Polkadex provides HFTs to retail and institutional investors through trading robots. The unique architecture-optimized zero-cancellation consumption allows dynamic in and out of market conditions, providing incentive API endpoints for trading robot companies and liquidity providers, and eliminating orders’ advance runs by paying high gas fees, a problem that plagues traditional decentralized exchanges.
Trustless Ethereum Bridge
Trustless cross-chain bridges, helping to bring any blockchain token to Polkadex in a non-managed and trustless way through Parachain’s Polkadot and Snowfork’s Ethereum. Polkadex is built for the future, so it can be integrated with other liquidity providers using forkless upgrades. We do not touch customer funds or your smart contract keys.
Performance
The current testnet transaction throughput is 300 TPS, enough to support the current crypto trading environment and will continue to increase that speed to 20,000 TPS using our research and development on the internal consensus algorithm code Pebble. The upgrade will become part of the 2021-22 plan roadmap.
