The Hop protocol is used to send tokens across reels and their shared layer 1 network in a fast and trustless manner. The Hop Protocol provides a scalable token bridge for Ethereum's Layer 2 ecosystem using a two-pronged approach:
In the first step, Hop Protocol will create a special token hToken (such as hETH, hDAI, etc.), As a transfer bridge across major two-layer networks;
The second step is to create an AMM-type DEX on top of different Layer 2 networks to support the free exchange between hToken and other assets based on the network.
