GiveWell is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding outstanding giving opportunities and publishing the full details of the analysis to help donors decide where to give. They don't just focus on financials, such as assessing administrative, fundraising costs. Instead, they conduct in-depth research to determine how much good is accomplished per dollar spent on a particular program (in terms of saving lives, improving lives, etc.).
