Earth Coin is a global cryptocurrency based on the scrypt algorithm released in Toronto, Canada on December 20, 2013, committed to sustainable and equitable development. The total amount of Earth coins is 13.5 billion, with 365 days as a cycle, starting with 10,000 coins per block and a sinusoidal curve with an amplitude of 2,000.
Blockchain parameters:
Scrypt hashing algorithm
Proof of Work (POW) mining
Block the target in 60 seconds
It is difficult to reposition after each block (+167%, -91%)
Total coins will reach 13.5 billion coins (theoretically unlimited, because the smallest block reward is 1 EAC, but in fact it will not exceed 13.5 * 10^9 for the next 2000 years)
50 confirmations per casting block
5 confirmations per transaction
Support transaction information
The initial block reward averaged 10,000 EAC, depending on the season (currently 625 EAC)
Block expenditure is halved every year, with a minimum expenditure of 1 EAC per block
Super blocks every 14 and 31 days
The default ports are 35677 (P2P network) and 15678 (RPC call, optional)
1. Trading speed
The mechanism behind Earthcoin is based on peer and can make transactions happen very quickly. This means that once you use Earthcoin to make payments or get payments, the time you see the transfer is equal or sometimes faster than a regular debit card. Earthcoin facilitates trading time of about 30 seconds, when in fact it is close to 10-15 seconds, which is considered instant today. The real advantage behind this speed is the ability to use it in any store in the near future, and the speed feels the same as the currency you hold today.
2. Safety
In mid-2017, the Earthcoin network was hit by 51% and was under control by a group of hackers. For months, the attack was thrown back due to the community's unremitting efforts and EarthCoin was returned to all users. The source code is then fixed in case of similar attacks in the future and unique protections against time travel attacks are implemented. Compared to most other cryptocurrencies, the EarthCoin code is now more secure.
In the first half of 2019, the Earthcoin network was upgraded significantly and security features were implemented under the current blockchain protocols of Bitcoin and Litecoin networks.
