Blockpass is also a decentralized and standardized blockchain identity authentication platform. Provide shared supervision services for individuals, enterprises, objects and devices through ETH technology and smart contracts. Blockpass is not only a user-centered identity authentication management platform, but also can reduce KYC costs for enterprises. Users only need to register their personal information once in BLOCKPASS (block path), and they can safely and quickly participate in various "supervisory services". PASS (Blockpass) tokens are issued by the Blockpass Foundation and can be used to obtain preferential discounts on Blockpass verification services.
Because the blockchain service adds the Blockpass authentication system, the Blockpass application does not require users to repeatedly go through complicated procedures to identify themselves. Additionally, it allows users to choose which credentials they want to verify and sign, and whether their data is stored on the device or in the cloud.
As stated by the founder of Blockpass, the app does not keep any user data and user data is not kept in any blockchain. Additionally, users can manually back up their profile data.
The app is not only compliant with KYC rules, but also with Anti-Money Laundering and General Data Protection Regulation, which will come into force in the European Union on May 25, 2018.
The application is essentially an identity gateway to potentially multiple services. All services of the Blockpass KYC system will be listed in the app's menu. Some are available after passing standard KYC procedures. Alternatively, the service can be accessed via a QR code. After scanning the code, Blockpass prompts the user to submit any necessary profile information to gain access.
The service provider MAY perform additional authentication checks before using the credentials to log in the user. From the user's point of view, a certificate represents a profile enhancement and is mandatory to meet certain KYC requirements. A standard Blockpass certificate includes all data submitted by the user to the certificate authority, the terms of the certificate, date of issue and expiration, and the issuer's digital signature.
The issuer can push the certificate to the Blockpass user when the user meets certain requirements, and he must then review the certificate content, or reject the certificate, before adding it to his profile.
In May, Blockpass announced a partnership with AgeChecked, a service that provides online age checks for websites selling age-restricted goods and services. The partnership will allow Blockpass users to prove their age for use in a variety of situations, purchase age-restricted products or sign legal documents without sharing their personally identifiable information.
AgeChecked will provide a certificate proving that the user is of the correct age, which will then be added to the blockchain to make verification fast and secure.
Blockpass also recently announced a partnership with Edinburgh Napier University to develop a Blockchain Identity Lab directed by renowned computer scientist Professor Bill Buchanan.
Blockpass has also partnered with Infinito Wallet founder Infinity Blockchain Labs to develop multi-signature functionality, enabling Infinito users to generate multi-signature wallets. This wallet is created using the "asset" key inside the Infinito wallet and the ID key from the Blockpass Identity app.
Furthermore, Blockpass announced partnerships with ICO platform Holdex and password manager Myki.
