Ara: A community-led decentralized distributed computing and content transmission platform. Ara is able to leverage the idle processing power, storage and bandwidth capacity of any device in the world, making it part of the global supercomputer, database and transmission network. At the same time, these devices form the Ara network, an ecosystem where anyone can join and benefit from it.
Distributed services created using Ara's SDK are called modules that can be purchased, sold, requested and cashed on the Ara network. Module tasks can be outsourced to peer users within the network, and after the other party successfully completes the task, it can receive Ara tokens as reward. To promote the establishment of an open and competitive market, Ara allows service requesters to determine reward allocations or bonuses for the services they request and allows service providers to determine the minimum acceptable bonus amount. Similar to Amazon Turkish Robots (crowdsourcing market for tasks that require human intelligence support), Ara has established a market for outsourcing distributed computing or network connectivity tasks. The module can be one-time on-demand tasks such as distributed transcoding, or services that are provided repeatedly for a long time, such as a P2P multiplayer server.
Function
Ara tokens can be used throughout the network in a variety of ways.
• As far as consumers are concerned, Ara tokens can be used to purchase a wide variety of content, from digital content with entertainment nature to new modules that can be participated in, and more
• Service requesters can use Ara tokens to initiate work requests and set bonuses for successful completion of these workers
• Service providers can pay Ara token deposits as a commitment to completing tasks to receive rewards (the deposit can be refunded upon request, but the provider can no longer earn rewards)
• Developers can use Ara tokens to deploy new modules within the network
Because of the serious overlap of these roles, service providers can directly use the Ara token bonus earned to complete tasks to purchase new content, and developers can also use the Ara token earned to sell modules to initiate new job requests.
