Fast Sync: CryptoNote coins generally have higher validation compared to Bitcoin variants, resulting in more orphan blocks. AEON solves this problem by using a block time of 4 minutes, reducing synchronization by a factor of four. Coupled with our lighter PoW, sync times can be improved by 10x or more on low-end devices.
Optional Lightweight Transfers: As a CryptoNote currency, payments remain anonymous by default. But unlike Monero, AEON also allows for traceable transfers. This is a faster, low-fee option for non-sensitive payments, such as transferring to/from an exchange.
